Muskegon Lumberjacks

Jim McGroarty is entering his seventh season as the Lumberjacks' general manager in 2024-25. 

McGroarty played a seven-year professional career before getting into coaching in 2003. McGroarty's first USHL position was with the River City Lancers in 2003-2004 as an assistant coach. 

In 2007, McGroarty was hired as the head coach of the Lincoln Stars, where he coached for six years. In total, McGroarty boasts 13 seasons of USHL experience.

McGroarty's son Rutger plays for the University of Michigan, and was a first round draft pick in the 2022 NHL Draft. Jim also has a daughter, Molly.
