A West Michigan native, Alec grew up in Rockford, Michigan and graduated from Cedar Springs High School in 2021, where he was a multi-sport athlete competing in both baseball and basketball. His passion for sports continued at Western Michigan University, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management in 2025.
Throughout college, Alec built extensive hands-on experience in the sports industry with the West Michigan Whitecaps from 2022-2025. He began as a Promotions Team Member, earning promotions to Promotions Intern and eventually Auxiliary Board Operator in his final season, gaining experience in game presentation, fan engagement, and live event production.
He also served as the Event Operations Intern for the Meijer State Games of Michigan, the signature event of the West Michigan Sports Commission, where he supported large-scale event logistics and operations.
In his free time, Alec enjoys golfing, fishing, playing basketball, and spending time with friends and family.
