Colin Fairfield

Fairfield joined the Muskegon Lumberjacks full-time staff as Head Equipment Manager during the 2025 offseason, bringing a strong connection to the organization and extensive experience within junior hockey. A Muskegon native and 2021 graduate of Fruitport High School, Fairfield’s journey with the Lumberjacks began long before joining the Hockey Operations support staff.

Fairfield spent six seasons as a stick boy for the Lumberjacks while in middle and high school, gaining valuable hands-on experience and developing a deep appreciation for the organization. He continued his education at Davenport University in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he studied Sports Management and further developed his passion for a career in hockey operations.

While at Davenport, Fairfield returned to the Lumberjacks as an equipment staff intern during the 2022–23 season, gaining additional experience at the USHL level. Following his internship, he spent two seasons with the Idaho Falls Spud Kings of the National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC), helping the organization capture its first Dineen Cup championship in franchise history during the 2024–25 season.

Entering the 2026–27 season, Fairfield continues to oversee the Lumberjacks equipment operations, utilizing his hands-on experience, knowledge of junior hockey, and lifelong connection to Muskegon to support the team’s players and hockey staff.
