Through four seasons as a member of the North Dakota Fighting Hawks, Trupp played in 157 career games, recording 108 points on 40 goals and 68 assists. In 2010, North Dakota won the WCHA Men’s Hockey Tournament, where Trupp was named the Tournament MVP. Trupp followed up in 2011 with another large contribution.
In his pro career, Trupp started in the ECHL with stops in Cincinnati, Bakersfield, and Alaska before moving on to the AHL with Abbotsford, Worcester, and Chicago. In three years in the AHL, Trupp played in 148 career games. His pro hockey career ended with five seasons overseas, including four in Germany in the DEL, the nation's top professional hockey league.
