Muskegon Lumberjacks

Dave DeSander is entering his seventh season as Goaltending Coach of the Lumberjacks in 2022-23.

DeSander was born in Saginaw, MI, and played collegiately at Marian University. After his collegiate career, DeSander played for five different teams in three different professional leagues, including the AHL's Iowa Wild.

DeSander has been coaching goalies full-time since 2012, when he began his coaching career with the Flint Jr. Generals. From there, DeSander worked with the Michigan Warriors and Corpus Christi IceRays in the NAHL, and has now moved on to become the Executive Vice President of Future Pro USA. Dave does a plethora of teaching, including summer camps and clinics for goaltenders.

DeSander lives in Grand Rapids with his wife, Jennifer, and two children, Cameron and Charlotte. In his spare time, which Dave acknowledges doesn't come often with two young children in the house, he enjoys playing golf.
