MUSKEGON – For the first time in the 2023-2024 regular season the Muskegon Lumberjacks (2-1, 4 pts) took to the ice at Trinity Health Arena for a 10:30 am puck drop against the USA Hockey National Team Development Program's Under-18 team (2-1, 4 pts). Gridin then scored two straight goals before the end of the period to help the Jacks to a 4-1 lead at the intermission. First, at the 12:23 mark
Owen Keefe (Saugus, MA) sent a shot on net from the blue line that caught a piece of Gridin on a drive by screen.
Then, with just over 4 minutes left in the frame Gridin added another while on the power play. Connor gave Gridin the puck in the far side corner, and from the side of the net on an impossible angle Gridin lifted the puck into the back of the net for his second goal of the game, 5
th of the season. His two points in the game gives him a sole possession of the USHL league lead in points with 7.
