MUSKEGON – The Muskegon Lumberjacks are proud to announce that goaltender
Raythan Robbins has committed to play NCAA DI Hockey at Bemidji State University in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association.
Robbins, a 2002 birth year from Anchorage, Alaska is in his first season with the Lumberjacks after joining the team following training camp. In 20 games this season Robbins holds a 6-12-1 record with a 3.84 goals against average, and .889 save percentage.
Before joining the Jacks Robbins played in the North American Hockey League where he backstopped the Anchorage Wolverines to a run for the Robertson Cup. His .922 sv% was 5
th in the league during the regular season, then jumped up to 2
nd in the playoffs with a .948 through 10 games.
Lumberjacks Head Coach Parker Burgess said "As an organization we are extremely proud of Raythan and his recent commitment. We think it's a perfect fit with a really great program in Bemidji. They are getting not only a high end talent goaltender, but a high end student and human being."
Muskegon wasn't home to Robbins at the start of the season, but since joining the team in November he has made the most of his time in a Lumberjacks uniform. "Since Raythan came to us he's been one of if not our hardest worker." Said Coach Burgess.
