Another bad second period gives the Lumberjacks another 6-3 loss in Green Bay

The Jacks led 2-0, but the Gamblers took control with three goals in the second period

The Muskegon Lumberjacks would have had a pretty good weekend in Green Bay, if it weren't for the second period.
 
On Friday the Green Bay Gamblers scored four times in the second and beat the Jacks 6-3.

On Saturday the outcome was nearly identical, with the Gamblers scoring three times in the middle period and coming from behind to beat the Jacks 6-3.

The Lumberjacks fell to 3-4-0 on the season while Greenj Bay improved to 4-2-1.    .
 
The Jacks will return home next Saturday to host Dubuque.
 
Muskegon took a 2-0 lead in the first period with goals from Ethan Whitcomb (his team-leading fifth of the season) at 5:23 and Nicholas Rexine at 14:08.
 
Barrett Hall found the net for the Gamblers at 14:51 of the first period, and the Jacks led 2-1 at the first break.
 
Green Bay took control with three goals in the second period from Eli Sebastion (2:10), Michael DeAngelo (6:14) and Jayden David (15:20). Muskegon got a goal from Justin Solevey at the 3:15 mark.
 
The Gamblers added two more tallies in the third period, with Artyom Levshunov scoring at the 12:12 mark and Jimmy Clark capping things off with an empty-netter at 16:52.
 
Green Bay scored on two of five power play opportunities while the Lumberjacks were scoreless in four chances.
 
Green Bay outshot the Jacks 28-18. Muskegon goalie Noah Rupprecht took the loss while Green Bay goalie Sebastion Gatto got the win.
